Anton Moore

Executive Producer

Anton Moore, was born and raised in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he began his career in radio at age 16. First working as an intern, he later became a staffer at Philadelphia’s leading station for Hip Hop and R&B, WUSL’s Power 99FM. During his tenure with Power 99, Anton helped coordinate the 2004 Unity Day Celebration, an event in his hometown consisting of over 200,000 people that aims to unite renowned artists and local vendors through music, in addition to the station’s annual Powerhouse concert, as well as a host of community sponsored events. Anton’s exceptional work didn’t go unnoticed. Shortly thereafter, he was honored in a national campaign, Verizon Realize, an initiative that focused on young adults aspiring to have successful careers in the music industry. Anton was touted as an icon in the ads he was featured in and the slogan “Intern Today, Icon Tomorrow” was displayed on billboards across some of the nation’s largest cities. Months later, Anton caught another big break when he was extended an internship opportunity at Black Entertainment Television in New York City where he started his work as a production assistant for the classic BET show Rap City. While there he worked as a leading member coordinating programs ranging from television shows to the BET Awards.

Despite the many successes and privileges he has been granted, Anton has never forgotten his roots back home and the importance of giving back to his South Philadelphia community where it all began. Since 2008 he has hosted an annual peace week and community block party for his neighborhood where he has provided giveaways and brought out well-known artists like Jasmine Sullivan, Meek Mill, Angela Simmons, Lil Mama, and various others to perform. Back in 2009, he founded his own organization “Unity in the Community” that takes a hands-on approach to make sustainable change through direct community engagement. The non-profit hosts various charity events such as community coat drives, mentoring sessions, and fundraisers for local schools throughout Philadelphia.

Anton has utilized his skills in the political realm as well, currently serving as the youngest Ward Leader in Philadelphia’s 48th Ward. He spoke at the Democratic National Convention and now spends most of his time mobilizing members of his community to become politically active. The young community activist attributes a great deal of his success to his faith and firmly believes he would not be where he is today without the favor of god. Today he continues to reside in Philadelphia and works as a freelance TV producer, community activist, and event planner. In the near future Anton plans to release his upcoming documentary “Weight of Death” that provides an inside look at inner city gun violence in Philadelphia and looks forward to what the future will hold for his community.

Along with Meek, Program has worked with other artists and athletes including the Siangie Twins, and Philly’s own boxing legend Danny Garcia. His favorite project to date is Meek Mill’s “Oodles O’ Noodles” music video due to the message it illustrates about the difficulty of escaping the circle of life in Philadelphia’s rough neighborhoods.
